NYC (Part 1)

There is just something about traveling.
New cities. New people. New Food.
It's one of my favorite things to do in this world.
So here's a glimpse of a my trip to New York City this past weekend.
I've broken this up into two parts just to fit all of my pictures here.
Today deals with my whole trip.
The next one will deal with the 9/11 Memorial.
Enjoy!

Stamford, CT

I had never been to Stamford, Connecticut before this weekend. I've driven by it before on the highway, but nothing stuck out. Well... other than it being the place where WWE has it's headquarters (It's true!) But now? I'm a huge fan. The downtown is fun and lively. The restaurants were diverse and delicious. When I go back to NYC, I'm staying in Stamford again.

The first burger to truly defeat me. It was delicious, but it was about the size of a Pug.

Long Beach, NY

My dad was on a mission. While the rest of the family wanted to go to New York just to get away, he had another idea in mind. He wanted to find his home. You see, my dad was born in Puerto Rico, but sometime in the early 70's his family moved stateside. Last year, we went to PR to find his birth home. This year, we went to find his first home in the states.. And we did. Granada Towers. It was incredible to finally find the place where my dad's U.S. journey started. He finally put a picture to the place.

I know Citi Field technically isn't Long Beach, but still.. work with me.

Word of advice. Don't go to Long Beach. They wouldn't let me go on the beach without paying $80 for a non-resident's pass! SMH... *Grumbles*

Manhattan, NY

Ask any of my closest friends why I love New York, and the answer you'll here the most is Hillsong NYC. From the moment you enter, you feel like you belong. The people are kind. The preaching hits home. Their love is obvious. This church would be one of the biggest reasons, I'd move to New York. Last Sunday was no exception. If you are ever in Manhattan on a Sunday just head on down to W34th St and walk on in. There are 5 services so chances are you'll be able to find the right time for you.

Besides Hillsong, my family and I just walked around the city. From chilling at a Flea Market to walking through the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, exploring the city always brings something new. That's another thing I love about this city. There's always something new to experience.
